First, isn’t morsel a great word? Two-syllabled, bite-sized if you will, with a delightful cadence. You could even turn it into a name if you stressed the second syllable – Morsell.
But that’s not what I’m here to talk about. I have a variety pack of updates, which I will give you randomly with no transition between these fascinating, headline-worthy reveals.
One: I’m tired.
Two: I’m trying to lose my COVID weight.
Three: I don’t think it’s really COVID weight so much as my love of ice cream.
Four: It’s the beginning of Halloween season and I really want to start decorating for Christmas. I don’t think this makes me a bad person.
Five: I’ve begun teaching my son to drive. He’s doing well! It’s been a couple of years since I’ve given driving lessons so I forgot that this process makes me believe that all other drivers aren’t really coming and going, they’re just out there to murder my child.
Six: Writing and teaching high school is hard to balance.
Seven: Melanie gave me a bike for my birthday. When I ride it I become a happy ten year old girl.
Eight: I’m going to name my bike Morsell.
There you are. Are you not shocked and excited by these delightful things?! Or can delightful things also be shocking? This is a good question. Discuss amongst yourselves. Get back to me on this.
